January 2017 Newsletter

Happy New Year! We hope your 2017 is off to a great start! January has proven to be challenging so far. Mostly due to weather. We have had about 75 inches of snow since Christmas and most of that coming this month. For the first time in 46 years, Gunnison canceled schools for a day. And we have been plowing and shoveling daily. In the first 13 days of the month, Spencer spent over 40 hours just on snow removal! Yeah!! That is the beginning of 2017 for us. However, 2016 ended with much happening….some bitter and some sweet. Thank you for praying for our trip to Iraq. The retreat went well and we saw God bring refreshment to many of the Samaritan’s Purse staff there. Kate was such a blessing to the families, as she helped with child care so parents could take part more. Here are a few of the scenes from Northern Iraq and the retreat.
